We won our den, but we could have done better overall, if not for our wheels. I think we lost a lot of speed from our vibrating wheels. Here is how I prepped the wheels: I used a pro hub tool to ream out the hub. I slid the tool into the hub about 3 times and twisted a turn. I then mounted them in the wheel mandrel and sanded the wheels. I then used the hub tool again and coned the hub. I used an axel polishing kit to buff the axles. My problem is that I think the axle ended up being too loose in the hub. With the car off the ground, I could spin the wheel and the wheel would vibrate and spin fast and freely. Any suggestions on how to fine tune my wheels and axles? The car weight was exactly 5 oz and it was a thinner design. We copied the Mach 5 from the Speed Racer show. Thanks. Jeff
