a group i'm going to be racing with has a 9oz weight limit. In the past i have ran in 5 oz limit races, i typically run a three-wheel rail riding design with RS s and a guide peg, and i set the balance slightly in front of the rear axle. This 9 oz limit is new for me. Is there any benifit in going that heavy or should i keep it in the 5-7 oz range ? What is th max weight befor you start getting diminishing returns. I would greatly appreciate any help !! thank you

Derby Worx did some testing and if I am not mistaken, after 7 ounces, the car they did the testing with started slowing down. It sounds like the rest of your set up is great. I would just increase the weight to 7 ounces and let it roll !! Lucky 13

Our district Outlaw race has a 8oz., 8inch limit (yes, that's right... 8inches). With the longer wheelbase to distribute weight, would that change the max weight "limit?"

I am interested too. We are having an open race. Do not know of any rules as of yet. I also want to know how much weight is too much for a 7" extended wheel base car. I have two cars and have been testing on a home made track with different weights just taped on top of a 6 ounce car. Adding cylinders on top right now, but will probably add flat weights on top later. I do not have a timer, but 7 to 8 ounces seemed to be the fastest compared to a control car that I am not changing. Did you find out any other info on max weight and cog placement? I am moving the weight on top to maintain a 90/10 ratio.
