Did I shave off too much with the wheel shaver?

My wheels are noticeably smaller than what I started with, not terrible, but I can tell. When compared to a virgin wheel, it is smaller. I had trouble with the shaver and the screw backing out. In order to keep the screw in, I got too agressive with one of my shaves and then tried to make the other 3 wheels match. So, I may have made my wheels too small. Is there a guide for how much to take off. Is there a way to measure with calipers? Suggestions or guidance? THANKS.

As long as you can see the decorative edge on the wheel, you should be good.
