Hello everyone, I need some advice,I got 2 coats of Krylon Interior-Exterior glossy black on my car and was called away from project.the 2 coats looks great but I would like to apply at least 1 more coat and then some acrylic clear.Do you guys do any sanding between coats to help with adhesion or can I just spray right over the dry glossy?Same ? for the Clear.
Any help would be appreciated, Maxx

I would wet sand with 800 grit sand paper spray black. If it looks good leave it .Three to four coats should be enough if your primer is smooth. Too much paint + clear may rinkle or crack. For more shine carnuba wax works well with some light rubbing compound. You should let the paint cure for a few days befor compounding and waxxing.

Thanks for reply Speedbuggy,I didn't use primer,I used a sanding sealer.I think it was 3very light coats of sealer with light sanding in between coats, the sealer was brushed on.And then the 2 coats of black.Would that constitute to much paint? Was really trying for that deep shine, hence the clear!

This car has 4 coats of black krylon and no clear coat. I would say it has a very deep shine. Two coats should not hurt. Some times you have to be brave and just do it knowing that all the work you have done will be ruined with your last action.

Thanks speedbuggy,That car does have nice deep shine to it.Ruining all the hard work is exactly what I was worrying about.
I took your advice, wet sanded with 1000,was all I had in that range, looks great! But I still may go for the clear,I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks again, Maxx
