Here's some. I would like to wish Wheeler good luck tomorrow. I know it is his grandson's council race because it is also my nephew's. Nephew is Web II and races first. I am going to stay for whole thing because I want to see Wheelers grandson's finish as well as a guy I work with son is also a tiger. I would venture to say that tigers may be the toughest division this year. The kid that won our district was smokin fast and Freds grandson was no slouch. Also guy I work with son won their district. How did the Council Race go Bob and Fred?

I believe Fred's grandson won the race. I think he said that, although maybe I was dreaming.

If Fred posted that his grandson won the council I missed that. Buckeye if you were dreaming then you should by a lottery ticket. Fred's grandson did cleanup in tiger division. Never lost a race, although 1 race the timer did show a tie between grandson and car that eventually took 2nd. Difference was .0008 over 4 races. My nephew did not fair so well. He ended up 4th in Web II. He beat the kid that beat him at district but lost to the kid he beat at districts. Council was held on a 40 ft Piantidosi and districts was homemade wood 32ft. Top 3 webelos II at district finished 3,4,5 at council but in reverse order from district. So in otherwords 3rd place at district got 3rd place at council beating both cars that beat him at district. Don't know what happened to my nephews car but it was definitely slower. But before you say it is a different track let me explain. Remember I talked about testing on a 40 ft Piantidosi that a guy I work with owns? Well the day before council race, the council chairwoman calls this guy and says Hey we need a track to run council race on would you be interested? I guess the pack tht normally does it were all busy and could not make it. So guy from work agrees to it. Well I tested my nephews car on his track and it went 2.82's at his house. Now I know setup was different because fastest car there all day only went 2.83 avg with 1 run in 2.82's. But my nephews best run was 2.87 something. So it definitely slowed down. Fastest kid all day was Web I and like I said he went 2.83 avg. I asked the kid what they did to make it so fast and he shrugged his shoulders and said I don't know.

I didn't think Iwas dreaming, but once you pass 50 your memory isn't quite as reliable. Actually, Fred didn't post it yet, he off on vacation getting some rest for a busy month of racing in June.

Yeah I knew he was on vacation cause his daughter told me at the council race. Made sense that he had been awful quiet on the board for awhile.

After I get done painting , it's time to start getting ready for Parrish's race, not much time left, and am really looking forward to meeting some of the racers I haven't met in person before, and seeing everyone else. When was it supposed to be held?
If it stays canceled, have you thought of asking permission to put on an open WIRL race instead?
I have a couple of tracks, a trailer and even know my way around Iowa . . . :-)

june 4 this sunday. I do have a 6 lane track I offered to run the race but they said that someone else was.... Im sure they are the ones that said it was a lack of interest because they were expecting more than 75 cars at districts
