Looks like one of Panzer's cars to me.

Looks like a Panzer car, but I don't think he would sell completed cars. I know there have been several cars for sale, that looked similar in design to ours. I think people like to copy the fast stuff for marketing purposes.

It sold for $53.25. I wouldn't sell one of my cars for that. Actually I wouldn't sell my cars.

You know, it would be interesting to see how some of the ebay cars would compete at WIRL. Anybody have any they care to send in?

For most eBay builders, it would probably be detrimental to business...

I have thought about buying one from the Physics Teacher just for that purpose. He claims they are the fastest around. Or on e-bay anyway Warp Speed Inc

If you're going to buy one from the Physics teacher you better get your money out. He has one on ebay now. It is going for $91.00 with over three days left. I would rather finish last and do most of the work on my car than to buy a completed one from somebody else and win. It is also completely against the idea of the Pinewood derby, which is to get a child and an adult to work together on a project. Phil

Jay, I say a few of us pitch in to buy one.. I'll put in $15. We can make it a WIRL extra (fill in) or something. I say that the person that actually buys it should be someone who has a track so they can give it a look-see, run it on their track and what not...
Anybody else want to pitch in?

Have some pride man. Copying someone else's car is not a form of flattery this is just being lame! Not only is it immoral and unethical to build and sell race ready cars to be used for BSA racing, but to take someone else's design and name is a classless act. We all like to build these cars. It is a fun, affordable hobby and a nice little break from real life. I suggest that you challenge yourself to be creative , I personally think that is half the fun. Build your own car and race it yourself. We are fortunate to have the WIRL. www.wirlracing.com A place where a bunch of real cool "big kids" welcome all new comers. Most of us are racing with each other but are really competing against ourselves, trying to out perform the previous months times. Your not going to get rich selling pre made cars to "single moms" for the pinewood derby. Build your car and ship it to the WIRL .I guaranty you will have fun and at the same time have the opportunity see how you compare to the best builders in the world! Do the right thing. Loree Racing

1. the physics teach just sold his "Barometer" car for 375$ on ebay. there will be one proud parent in the audience when he finds out he paid 375$ to win his son a 8$ trophy. Barometer was definded by the teach as the car he paced all his other cars against before selling them.
2. i have noticed, "copys and replicas" of many cars all over this site. i mean really how many times has the standard wegde been used? does anyone that uses a wedge style car even if slightly modified a copy cat or something less then a creative genuis? i think perhaps rather then worrying if someone copied a design you say to yourself, HOT d**n i came up with a new style, shape, or designed cars that people in this world think are d**n cool and i am simply flattered that someone would want to do as i do.[/i] perhaps naming the car after the designer that originally built it was this builders way of pay homage to a builder he respected? was it immoral or unethical when companys come out with a new tissue? isnt it all really just tissue. we say commonly "hey do you have a kleenex i need to blow my nose?" but in reality Kleenex is a brand name that was attributed to a tissue due to brand status. i say enjoy your status!! perhaps the builder of the car will join the site and fill everyone in on his purpose? me i was a guest for a long time just reading, but i decided to join and participate.

To steal a man's design and reproduce it to sell is very sad and to add his name to it is even worse. This is the work of a sick person.
