Where are you guys? It's almost pinewood season, i am back in limited portions as I am coaching Varsity football it's a lot of time out of my schedule. I need you guys to step up and keep the boards alive. derbytalk.com has more action than we do, SAD! SAD! SAD! Just kidding, let's step up and rock WIRL this month. We are planning to take over, I am sure Panzer, DM and Frank won't mind. And I think about 5 people entered WIRL last month, we were not there so we can't say a whole lot but guys, let's step up to the plate and keep this thing rolling!

Well you're right about that! I monitor the board alot and see people looking but no one posting. Are we all so smart we have nothing to figure out? Not me for sure, I need TONS of help. I thought these little wood cars were simple things, they would require a very few easy things to master. Was I ever wrong, seems only a very few really have a lot of it figured out. You don't see those folks posting much of anything.

For everybody but WIRL guys this is off season. And I would think most of the guys in WIRL know (or at least think they do) what they are doing.

Turtle, I bet your right about the WIRL guys thinking they have it figured out. But IF they had it figured out then why is there such dominance by just a couple of racers? Must be the rest of us don't have it figured out?

Must be the rest of us don't have it figured out? My guess is that each of guys competing in WIRL have a son that dominates/dominated the local pack and did well at district. Derbymaster has been dominant but there are a couple including Panser and Peede that are real close. When you take the times and devide them by 6 heats, there is a lot of quality compititon. 3.04 is top modified, 3.1715 is top stock with around 10 cars inbetween. They say the devil is in the details, think that is very appropriate for pine car racing.

Well I can tell you we have't figured it all out yet. This month we shoud be making a decent comeback racing a new car or two along with the FlagMaster II Car. We have modified the heck out of them to what we think will work. Definately changing out of our normal Lube and weight placements to try a few new things, alignment will be key as well... I am hoping it all makes the difference. Hey the Buckeyes start this Saturday! Nothing I like to watch more in the world than an Ohio State Football Game! What a great week!
