IS EVERYBODY READY!!!!!!
This is going to be a GREAT TIME!!! If your not in, hurry and get in. We have a good time planned, if you are getting in Friday, swing by the shop and check-in. We will try to get everyone together for some dinner. Sat. morning we will gather at the shop around 8:30, coffee and rolls will be on hand and Parrish will be on the timer for your tunning pleasures. Times will be for your viewing and tuning pleasure only and not announced unless you do it yourself. Hopefully we will work together and help those who need it and learn from each other along the way.
Lunch will be served ar 12:00 noon. and we will race our freshly tuned cars at 1:00 p.m. in the 3 classes. Afterwards, for those that would like to hang around,(we should have a good group for this) we can have a round table discussion about the "07" race season and maybe have some tenitive live races nailed down for the year.
If anyone is staying over Sat. night to make the trip home Sun. we can hit another hot spot for dinner.
So far the expected list is:
1. Parrish and racer friend 2. Wheeler 3. Builder Jim 4. Cheel Wheels 5. Larry Reed (Lima Fame) 6. Wart Hog 7. Mr. Slik 8. Hyper Drive 9. Bill & Randy from Pinewood Extreme 10. Barga 11. Racer X
So far with wifes and kids, around 25 people total.
HURRY, E-MAIL US NOW IF YOU WANT TO RACE OR GET A LITTLE BETTER!!!!

I am getting anxious . . . I figured out what shape I am going to build.
I figure I'll start cutting tomorrow so it has that fresh pine smell.
Hey, if I paint it, I bet I could even have that special "cub scout tacky" texture by Saturday! ;D

Sorry guys, looks like the weather is going to be bad in Illinois the next 1/2 week or so. Just not worth risking an accident. I'm out, (SONOFAB)

I'm out, (SONOFAB) HyperDrive, Sorry to hear you're not going to be able to make it, but there will be other times. I had been hoping to be able to go too, but Ash has been in the hospital this week, so I'll have to wait for a better time too. Good luck to all of you guys who are fortunate enough to get there. I'm sure it will be a blast. Phil

Sorry to hear that Hyper Drive, the weather didn't look all that bad on weather.com this evening. 50's and rain on Fri. low 30's and drizzle on Sat (but not cold enough long enough to be bad) and 40's on Sun. We just had dinner with Wheeler and Chery and I just got an e-mail form Steve and Jen of WIRL that they are leaving in the morn. Maybe you can pool with them? If not we understand.

So on the way home we just need to do the cross over from wet to ice at a straight part of the road, right? ;D
What are the local gas prices?

Racer X Racer X I hate to let you down like this but, it is what it is. No one is more disappointed than me, I've been busting my hump getting ready for this event and now this. I was looking forward to getting some quality help with my cars before this years derby season kicked in. Sorry also to Woody(DNF racing), I was going to bring some of his cars to the race. Good luck to anyone who can make it.

TO ALL:
Sorry guys, we are going to cancil for this Saturday. We were ready, everything was set and lunch was ordered for Sat. but we just don't wan't anyone in a bad spot because of weather.
We had several driving good distances, Ohio, Minnesota & Georgia and if this think kicks up it could be bad news. Better safe than sorry.
A BIG THANK to Mr & Mrs. Fred Wheeler. Fred came over Thursday and re-worked the Derby Worx track with his majic and one of his super cool leveler kits. Many thanks and Dad and I enjoyed your comapny over diner.
I was really looking forward to sitting down with the group after we were done racing and discussing what we can do a group to grow the hobby and I think Hot Rod 66 and a few other things will be a big help.
Thanks
Racer X

Bill
Sorry you are casmciling this weekend I can only imagine the work and the expense. For me I know it's best. I was going to find a motel room so as not to cross back over the river. Are you going to reschedule sometime soon? I was really looking forward to learning from the best.

bummer doodle! : I was looking forward to learning lots! But not a total loss, we had a great tour of Iowa! ;D We stopped by Forest City to see if we could pick up a couple of stop sections from BestTrack. Found an address . . . got a voice message . . . just couldn't make contact in the time available. We did get some freezing rain/mist . . .so it is better safe than sorry!

Well, we are back home. And from the looks of the weather channel I am certainly glad we turned around. Hope it gets rescheduled when weather is warmer so as to avoid this thing again. Thanks Bill for trying to put it all together!!

We got as far as Chattanooga when Bill called, so we just spent the day there, discussed a little business (so it would qualify as a business trip :-) Sorry it didn't work out, but thanks for the warning. What kind of weather did you end up with?
