I'm working with James on his BSA derby car for the 2005 races. We've come up with a car that is only 8mm thick at it's thickest point and only 1mm of the body is above the top of the axles. Calculating from the bare body weight this places about .029 oz. above the axle. I'm figuring this car may lose some time on the ramp but due to it's higher speed at the transition should blow the other cars away on the staight. This car uses the existing slots and is completely BSA legal. Hope to post some pictures soon.
