I saw site's that sell a small tap....There claiming for using thin on the inside wheel bore. I get it would leave tiny slices for graphite but would this not defeat of polishing the bore smooth

I have seen wheels done with left and right hand tap. I have not seen them in action.
However they do not change the inner diameter of the wheel bore for the most part.
they do reduce the surface overall contact area with the axle.
I would like to get a set, as I think that if done right, it is better to have less surface contact on the axle, then use a axle that has been grooved.
But I have not done any testing to prove or dis -prove.
I know that this is likely hard to do by hand and perhaps some one will have some good one's out there to offer. SO more people can test and find out if they really do work better.

A E-Bayer is selling left and right taps.....I would have thought it was a bad move,But it looks like personal preference.

I have tapped 4 wheels, all with right hand tap. I have a left thread tap now. but have done anymore with the taps.
I have not used nye oil. However I had positive results. I talked more about it on another forum.

Sporty, did you tap it by hand?

Yes, I used one of those hand tappers. maybe 3 or 4 inches long of hand grip area to tap.
Seems to self center as I tapped. I was initially worried I would not get it center. But it self centered everytime after about 4 to 5 turns.
