I just got an XT 2 and have been trying it on some Awana wheels I have in stock. Also one BSA wheel, boy you BSA guys have it made! Those wheels are a breeze to work on! 1)stock awana wheel and XT 2- the XT2 cuts into the wheel too easily and makes grooves that are parallel to the bore. Not so good. 2)Frozen Awana wheel and XT 2--- works somewhat better if you put the wheels in the freezer for a few hours. Fewer cuts and shaves more like a BSA wheel. 3) Frozen wheel and sharpened XT2-- I used my broadhead sharpener to put a two sided edge on the XT 2 blade. This worked substantially better! If you use it carefully you can make a pretty good wheel. You will need to resharpen often and make sure your wheels are cold. Take one out at a time and work quickly and carefully.
RacerX, I'll have more significant details to you after DFR closes for the season ;D

I'm making as little contact as possible and increasing pressure by minute amounts.
