Our district allows the reducing of the wheel weight. There are 1.0 gram wheels on the market. We make our own and get them down to 1.5 grams. We have a track (aluminum) with a drop then a long straight away about 42 feet total. Obviously the lighter wheels are better on the hill at the start, but which wheel has the advantage on the straight away. Can we catch the lighter wheel, or is lighter better all the way down the track. Are we OK at 1.5 or should I consider drilling some holes to take out some more tenths of a gram. Thanks Kevin
