Hey sporty, I sent you a pm several days ago. I noticed you haven't opened the message. If you are not familiar with pm's, it stands for "private message." When you log on, go into any thread, and at the top right of the screen will be a message that says, Hey Sporty, you have ___ messages and ___ are new. Just click on the word "messages" to see your pm's.
The liquid graphite looks promising.

Sorry guys, have not been here for a few days.
for me results mean a improvement over not using. and then I look at other things, easy of application, how long it lasts. is it worth the cost does it really help or bull.

I think I read somewhere a year or so ago on Derby Talk where someone mixed graphite with alcohol and painted it on but the results were not stellar. Anyone know what the carrier or bonding agent in in this stuff? I am not an engineer by any means, but I have to believe that the moving or tumbling graphite acts as a bearing untill it breaks down. I am having a hard time beating nye oil in speed and durability, we took our pack winning car to districts 45 days later untouched and it performed perfectly, hoping to do it again this year.

Well I had given a little more detail over on derbytalk about this. But I do see I have posed the link to the site. So ohsofast, you may want to visit the site also to gather more info.
The process was touchy in applying, thin and light was best ! It worked great for the edges of the wheels that can come in contact with the rails !
Now I made sure my axles were polished really good. Once appiled. I let dry and then did a light wipe, this seemed to loosen up any hardness of the initial coating.
The car I put it on, ran fast and consitant all through the race day. this was our open class car, 1 st place for open class.
On the other cars, I did apply to the sides of the wheels only. when we were boxing up the 1st place car and fasest of the pack car for district. It looked like it was still on the sides. But could see where it had done it's job also.
Do I feel this is the new way to go ! I am not saying that ! But I think it can be used. I have asked the seller to add in some molly. But I have not heard back yet.
There out vendors out now offering coated axles. So I will asume they have found some positives also to this.
I know many look for the very best. I still and try and keep the average racer in mind !
I still see people showing up with teflon ! I am happy to share my lube !
Oils are illegal at are packs ! So I am happy for the packs that do alot.
