There is much written on COM..none of which I am the orginal author.
But Based on my understanding and testing......
I simply try to be at 7/8 to an inch with the wheels on.
I am sure there will be more help along the way soon.

Well guys it seems like I was way off. I was running between 1 and 1 1/8 inch. I already sent my cars to PWD. I did adjust the COM to about 3/4 inch before I did. Looks like when they get back I have some adjusting to do. Thanks to all that replied!

im assuming this is only possible with tungston ,the best i can get with lead is 1/2 com ,without making the rear of the car too high.

Shouldn't we clarify what type of car we are talking about?
I thought folks wanted the com a little farther forward when doing a stock wheelbase due to wiggle?
Farther back for extended wheelbases.
