This is are first year for me and my nine year old to race, unfortunately we have no track to experiment our car set up and the track we will be racing on is a wood track that is a little bumpy, we went with a pre-cut car called the funny car the front axle is one inch and half from the front and the rear axle is one inch from the rear, what would be a good stable fast location for my weight to be centered on thanks ;D

You'll read 1" is a good starting point for the location of the 'Center of Mass' which is not the same as the location of the actual weight you add. Read my recent post in another thread on how to find the COM. Last year we won our pack by a couple of feet with a COM located at 1.250" in front of the rear axle, but I noticed cars were gaining on us near the finish of a 45' aluminum track. Typically wood tracks are 32' in length. Concentrate on polishing those axles and the inner wheel hub as well as working the graphite in.

yes in March, the race was real exciting because we had to win a tie breaker to win the pack and a tie breaker to win the over all, our car seemed to get faster in the later heats.
