I just got the BSA kit with the new wheels. I help two kids with out dads make cars every year. (lots different from AWANA cars!)
Anyhow, With the new wheels, If I'm canting the axles do I want to cone the hubs? They are pretty small now.

New wheel hub is already coned. However, you still need to check and smooth for flashing. Derby tool works great for this.

If you are canting, you want to cut the double step out of the outer hub face, the Pro Outer Hub Shaver does this VERY WELL! Check it out: www.youtube.com/Derbyworx Also, if you are interested, all the NEW: 2009/2010 Derby Worx / Warp Speed B.S.A. wheels, Pro Ultra Lites (1 gram), Pro Inertia Lites ( NOW: 1.5 grams ) and Pro Stocks not only have the step removed but we CONE the outer hub area when we remove this step. Just another NEW and 1st. feature from Derby Worx. Good Luck to all this season! Racer X

I had my BSA kids get me an outer hub tool. Tried it on one wheel today. Seems to work quite well. One question, the milled surface could be smoother now. Any suggestions?
