Leaving voids in the bottom of the car

Just wonder if you leave voids in the bottom of the car, does the car experience any slow down?

Just trying to take off a little more weight.

I try to make my cars with no visible evidence of lightening/weighting the body. I think it looks cleaner.
You also get the benefit of a small amount of air going smoothly by. By comparison, you probably get 80% or more of air drag from the rest of the car.
You can easily cover the bottom with wide packing tape. It'll give a smooth bottom with little effort.
