Hey all!
First post here. I have been around pinewood for a while, but new to building a custom car. Here is my question.
I want to use the new RSX-N wheels and axle's on my car. So here are my questions:
1) Can I use the Pro Body Jig to drill the holes or will I have too much drill bit wobble since the jig's hole is designed for a larger bit
2) Same question (sort of) for setting up a rail rider. Will the Rail Rider tool not work as well because of the smaller diameter axle?
I am not an advanced wood worker, so I do not have access (or cash) to use special tools. If it seems that I am asking for more trouble than I am capable of handling, I will use the standard RSX wheels.
Thanks for the help!

Well I got my answer from one of the resellers: Needle axles do not work with the rail rider kit. Needle axles should not be bent. Doing so would weaken them.
The Pro Body jig should not be used to drill holes for the needle axles. The guide holes are too large and the drill bit could drift.
I think I may go with the regular RSX wheels and axles.
Any issue with doing the rail rider kit with the RSX axles?
Thanks!

Dozer, If you are running wheels like the RS, RSN or RSX wheels, you will not need the Pro Rail Rider tool. You do not want to cant the axles if you are running s. You just run the axles straight. There is no benefit in canting them. Just rotate the axles until you have the rear wheels migrating out to the axle heads and you are good to go. On the front dominate, just use a pair of pliers and a piece of wood to put a VERY slight bend in the axle so you have some steering adjustment. There is a new vendor (Goat Boy Products) selling step down axles that are awesome. You drill a regular size axle hole for them, but the axle is sized down to fit a needle wheel. Here a link to some pictures of his new products, including a picture of his axles. The pictures just show his bearing wheels, but he does have needle wheels now also. Just drop him an e-mail or pm for more info about the axles. pwdracing.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=goods&action=display&thread=1866Lucky 13
