My son is a Tiger Cub and my wife and I are co-den leaders. Our first PWD is end of March and we had weigh-in and turn-in last Friday. Here's our entries. 4 cars. Son, daughter, wife and I. Super DerBee (Mark I) is mine, Speed Racer is my sons, Road Burn is my daughters and Nothin' Special is my wifes. The boy originally started out wanting to do Lighting McQueen but it morphed into what you see. Daughter ended up wanting to do the same syle as my sons. Wifey went with a standard wedge and I went with a slightly modified wedge. Mine and the kids final weigh in was 4.99. Wifey's was 5.00. We'll see how we do in a couple of weeks. And thanks for all the posts. Reading throught stuff really helped.

Derby was great! My son's car took 7th overall in the Tiger Cubs and just missed going to the finals by .007! He had a great time and all of our cars ran really well. In the Open Division, my car took 3rd overall, my daughters took 7th and my wife's took 9th! All three of us in the top 10. We had alot of fun and I leanred a little bit more about the design. I think if I had taken more time to work on the axles a bit more we would have done even better. Next time wil lbe even more fun, especially since a friend of mine gave me his 2 lane test track he built himself. So we can play and experiment over the summer and fall.
