Thanks for the comments. We'll do our best at districts!
The car is currently in the repair shop as a result of a spectacular crash in round two of the pack race.
A bad spot in the middle lane was taking its toll on a number of cars that day. Our car jumped the track and slid to the finish line with the left two wheels on the alignment guide and the right two wheels in between lanes. All was well until the car hit the seperation pin in between lanes one and two with the right front wheel. The car flipped and rolled into the arresting traps. When all was done, the body had some damage and the right front wheel/axle was bent back far enough to contact the body.
The officials gave me a couple of minutes to bend the axle back and align the wheel while they were running the test car down the lane to re-certify the track. After spending way too much time aligning the car before the race, I was faced with bending the axle with the end of a nut driver and rolling it across a folding table to make things right.
I thought things were all but over until the car ran within .03 of the first round. We ended up getting second in the pack race!
