Moderators,
Please consider prohibiting the posting of overt advertising on this board. It's one thing to post a message about an available product, it's quite another to post a billboard.
We want this to be a discussion forum, not an advertising free-for-all.
Thanks

Pat,
You bring up a good point: we all like to hear about new products to make our cars better, and we like to be informed about these new products.
At the same time, the forum shouldn't be a free website to sell product.
Where to draw the line?

Personally. I like and need the info. I don't own a lathe and depend on these "ads" to stay competitive. It's kinda like Porn...If you don't like what you see...close your eyes. ;D
ooops, I peeked!

We want the forum to be open to all who want to introduce new products and help advance our hobby and sometimes this can be pesky to some. This is why we should use the vendor section of the forum and we will more than likely expand that catagory a bit further. Also, we want to keep an open policy to asking and answering questions about a tool or product. If you feel you would like feed back from the members, feel free to politely adderess you question or concern to the board members, also, vendors should feel free to politely answer or adderess these problems or concerns as well so the board members are informed.

Thanks for the clarification of the policy; none of us here on the board would disagree with the polite exchange of information about available product.
Just a note of concern on my part that, due to recent trends, the board could become a substitute website for "marginal" vendors and dilute credibility.
