CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT 6" EQUATES TO IN TIME, AND 3" ALSO? IF ONE CAR WINS BY 6" WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN TIME?

In the past, a car length (7in) is about .05. As the speeds of the cars increase, this distance grows, but this is a good standard to go by.

my guess is about 4/100ths it usually equates out to 1-1/2 inch ber 100th of a second

I really like the 1-1/2 inch per 1/100th of a second ;D. . . last season with the 900 normal runs the "simple average speed" was about 157 inches per second for the 58 feet of beta craft alum. track. For further details there are theoretical models that will you velocities at various points in the race based on track and car characteristics - - - too much math for a Friday!
