I agree with Parrish , if you set up or even move the track any amount it must be leveled in 2 planes , aligned and the start height reset to a base line car or to what ever you want the track to read.

If you are using the juice then there will be a great fluctuation untill enough of it has worn off. It will also do the same thing, on a smaller scale, if it has sat for a long time ala shipping. Or it could br that you are not paranoid...the whole world actually is out to get you. ;D Well that or CRAPS. The truth is I don't have the expendable cash to buy a best track so I send Steve and Jennifer a few extra bucks each month to mess with you. ;D I got the idea from watching the non stop Duke games on ESPN

Hi Guys, We just found this thread after seeing on the WIRL board that Emerson was not racing. We'll miss Emerson, but if it is to the point where it causes stress, by all means take a break. Just to reassure everyone again that we do not tamper with the Jewkes' or any other cars. Why would we do anything to harm the integrity of WIRL? That would only be shooting ourselves in the foot. It doesn't make sense.

Well if you do decide to mess with a car, make it mine, something has to work and I'm not quite ready to do what Phil did and have to break out the gorilla glue, my heart couldn't take it!
You do a great job and I appeciate you giving us some place to race other great builders!

THAT IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!
It is time for David and Glen to SHUT UP!!!!!!
I am not going to tear in to you now, but I will if you want to keep it up and many will follow. This is not a CONSIPRACY, no one is out to get you and you dad and you did not invent pinewood derby so GET OVER IT!!!!
If you think all tracks should be the same, that is your right but you are in the minority and I believe most have spoke their mind on it as well.
There are A LOT of GREAT PEOPLE on here that DO NOT WANT TO HEAR YOUR SORE LOOSER TALES SO PLEASE END IT NOW or your board privlages will be revoked (several have wanted it anyway and no it was not me that dumped your other posts, it was a group moderator choice) and if pushed I will blow-up this whole board and you can go cry on Derby Talk.
ALL RACING SHOULD CONTAIN GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP, my son races motocross weekly and if he acted like this towards a promoter or competitor his privlages would be taken away.
Now back to good talk with good people.
Thanks

I have responded a few times on this topic, not to take sides, but to help in the ideas that were presented here, however after reading your post RacerX<bill> i must disagree with what you have typed.
i have seen the derby talk forums and seen what has taken place over there, and they try to stay very PC <politically correct>. Perhaps even arrogant in helping at points to new forum members and or derby chatters who want more information. As an example, there was a former Dremel Tool DerbyCar builder who was one of a few to win an award. Congratulations to him, however he posted on Derby Talk slandering a good friend of mine that builds the cars i have posted here. Not only was there slander but he felt the need to email my friend berating him for saying he was a "top builder" a phrase used in selling of ebay cars. The derby talk user went on and on how he was the best and he had 1 trophy to prove it. personally i could careless who is the best builder or who is the fastest, i personally just enjoy all that goes into building, participating, spectating![/b] My post was removed while this other parties post was allowed to stay, at least for sometime. One of the moderators forum messaged me how bad mouthing would not be tolerated on his board and i would be removed if i continued, ironically the forum regular's post was allowed to stay, if only for a few more days, it was allowed to stay. Emails back and forth were exchanged and the other post were removed. yes i know i am rambling a bit, please hang in there. i do not really care who is wrong or right in this particular situation, but what i do know is there are a couple members, active participants, respected racer/builders whom have some issues they wish to voice to be heard. they would like some assemblance of an answer to their issues, just as people request information on tuning, painting, weighting and so on here. The members here 9.9 times out of 10 bend over backwards to help that person out, whether it is posting in the forum, using the forum messaging system, calling people on the phones, generally doing all they can to help. I have helped out in a relatively small way with some people and wish i could help out more, but in return or before i returned any help, builder such as BuilderJim, Team Loree, DerbyMaster and even Jewkes have gone extremely out of their ways for me personally, on an interpersonal relationship matter. It isnt necessary to explain that, they know what they have done and karma will bless them!! so what am i saying here, heck i don't know, i usually am a smart a$$ with some quick line or messing up a picture someone posts. but what i do know is, you ALL are great people and if someone has issues, best they are UP FRONT with how they feel so that things can get resolved in as positive manner as possible. Censorship is wrong, unless people are being vulgar. I would hope this board and you would not censor people for their concerns, i know we cant always agree with everyone, some like hobby lube, some like krytox some think graphite is the cats meow. regardless freewill is a wonderful thing here, and those we disagree with, hopefully there is an open forum for a discussion so that there are 3 possible outcomes. 1. agreement 2. disagreement 3. agree to disagree
if you have read all i have said here i hope i have made some type of point that can be accepted and not "attacked". i am moderately literate yet i am sure i have a zillion typos here and they can be read through so some point i have made.
On a personal note to RacerX above all this other stuff: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MOVING YOUR DERBYWORX OPEN RACE!! that gave me 1 less month to have to worry about having an excuse on why i wasnt racing, especially in my home town. knock on wood..haha get it i will have a car ready for the event and hopefully it will make it to the finishline!!!!!!!
thank you

Boy, is it hot in here or what? Let's get back to racing! ;D Jim Agreed! Maybe there has been some misinterpretations here. Before we get upset, we should think about intention of what we read. If you don't know or think it bad, in the sake of civilization, ask. Like I think my comparison to my drag racing days was misinterpreted a bit when all I was trying to do is point out that there are always some kind of variances and have those possibilities been thought about. I didn't intend anything but to offer information, food for thought. Often times on these boards we interpret something based on the mood we're in the first time we read it. We have trouble reading the inflection on the words unless the words are blatantly obvious in their choice. Did the dog just puke on your brand new tool mat? You may not have been feeling too chipper at that point and may influence how you feel about something you just read. I personally can't believe that WIRL has anything to do with differences in times a car runs on different tracks in different states with a different set of variables. My only intent of this post is to help everyone calm down and remember we've all gained friendships and have enjoyed ourselves. That our intentions are usually good and we should give each other the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps we should all chill and let this thread die and move on so we can all go back to having fun.

I also wanted to let you all know that the reason I was attracted to this board and don't even lurk on the other boards is because of the civility on this one. The other boards have already been described earlier in this thread so I won't rehash that. So let's get back to what attracted most of us to this board in the first place. Please.

no it was not me that dumped your other posts, it was a group moderator choice That explains my confusion as to what actually started or what was said. I never saw what was posted that got everyone upset, and I still don't know what we were accused of doing! Let me stress that we did not, or will never delete posts that are critical of WIRL. If you have an issue with us, we need a chance to answer to it and keep things above board (We have nothing to hide!). If you have a concern, please post in the WIRL section so we'll notice it and have a chance to respond. (This week is the first time we've ever been in the "Anything Goes" section.) Jewkes if you want to repost your original concern there we will address it. I remember you emailed us about some people illegally thinning out stock wheels and at the time I couldn't address it because we were busy working on post race stuff. I asked you to remind us again in 4 or 5 days, but we never heard back. You can post that issue as well if you still feel it needs to be addressed. Thanks, Jennifer
