I often read about how WIRL is the best builders in the country yet I now of several builders that put me to shame as far as looks and speed right here in my town that I think could compete for the top spots every month in stock. (Dont get me wrong WIRL has some awsome builders that Im can only hope to reach the status they have) So here is the challange, Ya ready for this? Im printing out two WIRL forms for the two best builders I know and am going to give them the forms and tell them about what WIRL is about and challenge them to come beat me on the WIRL track with WIRL rules and supervision. What Im asking is that everyone who reads this board do the same for people in there community and bring in more new builders. Builders that you know are Top Shelf. I have been learning so much in the last several months and Im ready to challenge my local peers. So go out and make some challenges and lets see what happens.

HOTHEAD, LOCALLY WE HAVE A COUPLE OF BUILDERS WHO ARE IN MY OPINION TOP SHELF, I HAVE SUGGESTED WIRL TO THEM MANY TIMES. I THINK THEY LIKE BEING "THE BIG FISH IN THE LITTLE POND" RATHER THAN FINDING OUT HOW THEY MEASURE UP. LOCALLY WE (THE KIDS AND I ) HAVE NEVER FINISHED OUTSIDE THE TROPHY ROUND , THE LEVEL OF COMPETITION HERE AT WIRL HAS BEEN A VERY HUMBLING BUT FUN EXPERIENCE.

hothead, 2 years ago I told the best builder I know about Wirl. He said he was not interested because he would not have enough time to do it right. Last year he must have found the time, because to my surprise he was at Parrish's summer shootout. I was fortunate (or lucky) enough to best him there. But then he started sending cars in to Wirl and has been kicking my butt, along with most everyone else's ever since. So if someone you know seems to be a very good builder they just may hold their own against Wirl regulars. Invite them in. Competition is good.
BTW, the builder I invited is Wheeler.

If your going to be the best, you have to compete with the best.
If WIRL is going to be the best, we have to have the best builders.
Invite the best builders you know, and the builders you know who want to be the best, to join the fun.
That will probably mean that a few of them could come in and win immediately, but that has happened all along. All that does is force everybody to be better. I think that's the main reason most of us are here anyway.

If we got Fred by that philosophy... I'm convinced!
