Hey Mountain Dave, Ill try and send one within the next 2 races. I need to look at your website for details of each class. Do you have a basic 5 oz class with stock size wheels?

Currently we run two classes of cars, stock and limited modified.
Our stock class is split into two age groups; youth (0-17) and adult (18+)
Our stock class is the standard 5 oz, regular tires, etc. Where we differ from others is that all 4 tires must track. This has been a standard in our BSA district for many years, so we adopted it so we could offer fair competition to any scouts who wanted to participate.
The LM class bumps the weight up to 7 oz. and allows for the stock wheels to be modified (must start out as a stock wheel.)
Both classes allow the wheelbase to be extended.
The rest of the specs for both classes pretty much follow the BSA and Awana specs.
We are toying with a new class that we may introduce mid-season but until we can finalize everything for it, I don't want to put too much out. All I can say is it will keep the builders busy and guessing.
Thanks for the inquiry.

Dave, In the LM class it says the wheels may be modified in any way and must be from original equipment. What wheels (brand) are acceptable to start with? and it seems bearings are ok also?

Wheel bearing question answer
from the Old Man of We Racing:
The SAPCAR limited modified class wheels--------as long as you start with stock wheels, (BSA, Awana, Pinecar, Derby Worx) you can do anything to them you want even add bearings-----wheels must be recgonizable as starting from stock---no pre bought s.

As soon as our webmaster can catch his breath, the website will have some exciting news about a new class. For season 5 (our current season) this will be a certificate class. If we decide to carry it over into season 6, it will become a trophy competition class. ;D This new class will offer quite a different perspective on your entries. Sorry to keep you guessing but mums the word while we work out the details.

Okay, here is our announcement. For the current season, we are adding a mixed class. This is a non championship class for this season (we will be running for certificates only.)
We have not named the class yet but here is what we are doing: For our Sept. and Oct. races, the class will be "Block Stock." Take the block out, add weight, paint it and slap on the stock (no sanding, smoothing, etc.) wheels using the stock (casting burrs and all) nail type axles. Oh and the axles have to use the stock slots. This is the ultimate "stock" class and truly represents the old "run what'cha brung" adage.
In Nov. and Jan. we will be running our version of the Hotrod 66s. Ours will be called the "Rat rods" but will mimic PWDRacing's Hotrod 66 rules. If you have them, send them.
In Feb. and Mar. we will switch over to full bodies and run our "Lead Sleds," similar to the Door Slamm'rs.
To round out the year, Apr. will be a super mod. race. We will be adjusting those rules a little from where they are now but not by much.
We hope to have our website updated with the series schedule within a week or two and have all of the class specs posted shortly there after.
Since this class is for certificates only, the entry fees are reduced. Those fees will be posted on the website as well.
I wish I could be in Lima on the 22nd but schedule conflicts prevent it. However I would like to take a moment to wish everyone good luck and a great time.

The next race is just two weeks away. Our rotating class switches over to Rat Rods (similar to PWD Racing's Hotrod 66's.) We will also host our regular stock and limited mod classes as well.
The event will be on a Best Track, 2 lane 42 foot track, MicroWizard finish line, average of 2 runs per lane scoring.
Check out our website (www.sapcar.com) for mail in information and registration fees.
