Bob this is a good thing. I know a man in Spencerville that did this for many years, for many kids without Fathers. In fact I have met some of the new hires at work, who will never forget this fellow. And his name is Larry Reed, Lima's race Director.

When Joe is done with cubs I'm going to work with the kids in the west end of Louisville, KY. That's our disadvantaged part of town. I helped them run a race last month. My plan is to pre-prepare axles during the year and teach them at a workshop how to make em fast. I'll also help the guys who win to move on to the next level. As it stands I plan to start helping some next year at the workshop. The kids don't have too many resourses. My goal is to help them develope champions.

Smokin', with you helping them and learning they will be champions, as far as you? You already are! thanks for helping kids. I think that is why there are pine trees.... (don't tell C.R.A.P.S.)

My grandsons race was thursday evening. After all the trouble I prviously e=mailed you about he took 1st in Tigers and came very close to placing in the final round. Those cars were fast, he missed it by2/1000ths of a second. he took 2nd twice in 2 heats in the finals. This was our original car that fished =tailed all over the place last saturday in the practice runs. We built another car in a hurry and it performed lousey, made a few adjustment to the original car and it ran well. The week prior it took 3rd in district race in the adult division. My grandson was extremely happy he won two trophies with his car this his first year. I only added the lubricant, he and his father did all of the rest of the work. I was very proud.
We will try WIRL in a couple of months. My son and I want to race in Milstadt in June. Is it still on?

Yea Phil, it's got a leap frog on it. We will stick with frogs as long as we have good luck. After that we might go to a geico or lizzard.

I just hope he does not break Robbie's track record next week at districts. Actually Robbie hopes he doesn't more than I do. I told him if anyone breaks it in the next couple years it would probably be you guys. Must warn you though it will take a smokin fast car. Good Luck next week, see you there.

Fred, I knew he could do it. An ole pinechip off the block. Good luck to him and the Bargas Saturday. Joe has his Council race Saturday at historic Churchill Downs here in Louisville, KY. We hope his car is a thouroughbred. We have taken great pains to make sure every detail is %100 within the rules and still very very fast.

Smokin, No Barga's in the race. I will be there because they ask me to come back and inspect cars this year again and I agreed. I do have a nephew in it and another kid from my son's old pack that I gave technical advice to. Both dominated their respective pack races last weekend. Hope to see them both do well. Also hope to see Wheeler's grandson do well. There will probably be close to 150 kids there, at least that is about what we have averaged the last 3 years. Also good Luck to Joe at his council race!
